Australia/Canberra: Food Babies Love recalls certain batch/lots of Greek Lamb Casserole, Baby Bolognaise & Fish Pie Baby Foods due to undeclared Wheat, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal, situation requiring immediate medical intervention. The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Baby Foods are subject to this recall (in alphabetical order):
- Baby Bolognaise Baby Food, sold with a batch number of 13911, a use-by date code of 29/03/17 and an APN/EAN of 9350607000035
- Fish Pie Baby Food, sold with a batch number of 13910, a use-by date code of 29/03/17 and an APN/EAN of 9350607000059
- Greek Lamb Casserole Baby Food, sold with a batch number of 13909, a use-by date code of 29/03/17 and an APN/EAN of 9350607000028

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to the suspected presence of an undeclared allergen, specifically Wheat. Parents and other caregivers should not feed these Baby Foods to their children if the kids have a Wheat allergy or intolerance.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Baby Foods and could be allergic to their Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
