The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Cookers are subject to this recall:

  • Bosch branded Freestanding Gas/Electric Cookers, manufactured in Germany between January 2007 and October 2011. Batch numbers range from 8701 to 9110.
  • Freestanding Dual Fuel Cooker with Electric Oven and Gas Cooktop, 30.5 MJ/h (natural gas), with 220-240 VAC, 50 Hz, 3.2 kW. Batch numbers range from 8701 to 9110.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, this is an expansion of earlier recalls PRA2016/15652 & PRA2016/15725. Affected batch numbers are between 8701 and 9110.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Gas/Electric Cookers, please do not use them. Instead, kindly check the appliance rating plate for the Model Number (E-Nr) and Batch Number (FD) then check your Cooker at to see if it is an affected model.

If affected or if there is any uncertainty, immediately shut off the gas supply to the appliance and then make contact with BSH Home Appliances Pty Ltd by phoning BSH toll-free on 1300 955 742, 24 hours a day Monday to Friday or by visiting BSH will organise an authorised and trained repair agent to travel to your home and replace the relevant component.
