Canada/Ottawa: JD Sweid Foods (2013) Ltd. recalls certain batch/lots of Hampton House brand Chicken Strips due to suspected incorrect preparation instructions and consequential failure to properly cook the Chicken, resultant bacterial contamination and possible food illness, all serious health hazards. CFIA: http://ht.ly/GUqU309Fkq8
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Processed Chicken is subject to this recall:
- Hampton House brand Chicken Strips, sold in 1.5 kilogram boxes; affected packages: all Chicken with best-before dates ranging from January 20, 2018 up to and including February 11, 2018; UPC: 0 66123 54381 7
Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.
According to the CFIA, JD Sweid Foods (2013) Ltd. has recalled the above indicated batch/lots of Hampton House brand Chicken Strips from the marketplace due to an error in the preparation instructions on the label. The oven preparation instructions on the label should read: “Preheat to 204°C (400°F)” but do not. This omission may lead to improper preparation and/or undercooking that may cause food illness because the Chicken may contain harmful bacteria that are not killed by adequate cooking.
