The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Fish Products are subject to recall:

  • Waitrose Frozen 2 Breaded Haddock Fillets, sold in 300 gram containers with a batch number of L7 038 N.; a pack-size of two (2) Fillets; affected product codes: all products with best-before dates ending on or before February 2018.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, this food product contains Milk and Mustard, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to Mustard, and an allergy or intolerance to Milk or Milk constituents.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Haddock Fillets and could be allergic to their Milk and/or Mustard ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
