Canada/Ottawa: Liquor Control Board of Ontario (“LCBO”) recalls certain batch/lots of Georgian Bay brand Vodka due to suspected unsafe levels of alcohol concentration, a serious health hazard. CFIA: http://ht.ly/vyeu309zTcO
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Vodka is subject to this recall:
- Georgian Bay brand Vodka, sold in 750 mL bottles with a batch/lot number of Batch 19 and a UPC of 6 27843 36216 6

According to the CFIA, the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (“LCBO”) has recalled certain batch/lots of Georgian Bay brand Vodka from the marketplace due to high alcohol content. You should not consume the recalled product listed above.
This recall was initiated after the discovery that, during production, one (1) batch was bottled before correct dilution to achieve the stated 40% alcohol content by volume. As a result, the affected batch has alcohol content by volume of 81%.
==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food or beverage, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Vodka, please do not consume it directly nor use it as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
