Additional information:
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Chocolate Bars are subject to recall:
- Toblerone Chocolates, sold in 100 gram bars with a best-before date of 8 September 2017 and a batch code of 00Y4062333.
==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.
Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.
According to the FSA, Heatons has recalled a consignment of Toblerone Chocolate Bars because they contain Egg, an ingredient not declared on the product label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to Egg. The consignment was sold with an incorrect over-stickered ingredients list, which omitted the ingredient Egg White. The affected consignment was only sold in Northern Ireland through Heatons.
==> For information about Egg Allergy, please consult the “Allergens & Intolerances” tab on this site, located at the top of this page.
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Toblerone Chocolate Bars and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
==> To see other recalls and notifications relating to contaminated or adulterated Chocolate Bars or Treats, please search for “chocolate” using the Search Box at the top of this page.
==> To see other recalls and notifications caused by undeclared Egg, please search for “egg” using the Search Box at the top of this page.
