According to the FDA, the recalled Apple Sauce is packaged in 24-ounce glass jars with a best-before date code stamped on top of the lid as noted above. The recall was initiated after the company received customer reports that glass had found in some of these products. All remaining jars of Apple Juice have been removed from store shelves and destroyed.

If glass fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.
