The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Powerboard (Powerstrip) are subject to this recall:

Powerleader 4 Outlet Surge Protected Heavy Duty Metal Powerboards, four (4) outlet powerboards, heavy duty and surge protected rated, enclosed in a yellow and black metal case bearing model number, L54185 and batch number JI12443

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, the Powerboards’ cord anchorage may not be adequate: increased stress of the supply cord may present an electric shock hazard.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Powerboards, please do not use them. Instead, kindly unplug any potentially affected powerboards and check if the flexible cord can be moved through the grommet. If the cord cannot move, no action is required. If the cord can be moved through the grommet, please contact to arrange for a replacement unit.
