Canada/Ottawa: Bright Cheese and Butter Manufacturing Company recalls certain batch/lots of Bright brand Cheese Curd Products due to undeclared Mustard and Wheat, both known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. CFIA:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Cheese Curd are subject to this recall:
- Bright brand BBQ Flavoured Cheddar Cheese Curd, 300 gram package; affected product codes: all codes where Mustard and Wheat are not declared on the label; no UPC listed
- Bright brand Sour Cream and Onion Flavoured Cheddar Cheese Curd, 300 gram package; affected product codes: all codes where Mustard and Wheat are not declared on the label; no UPC listed
==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.
According to the CFIA, the Bright Brand Cheese Curd Products identified above were recalled by the company due to undeclared Mustard and Wheat, two known allergens.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Cheese Curd Products and could be allergic to their Mustard and Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
