The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Foods are subject to recall (in alphabetical order).

  • GNS Chicken/Bacon/Mayo Sub Rolls with all use-by dates up to and including 10 February
  • GNS Chicken/Pesto/Tomato Sub Rolls with all use-by dates up to and including 10 February
  • GNS Triple BLT/Chicken Salad/Ham & Cheese Sandwiches with all use-by dates up to and including 10 February
  • Spar & Honest Crust Chicken Salad Sandwiches with all use-by dates up to and including 10 February
  • Spar & Honest Crust Chicken Stuffing Sandwiches with all use-by dates up to and including 10 February
  • Spar & Honest Crust Chicken/Stuffing Barms with all use-by dates up to and including 10 February

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Great Northern Sandwich Co has recalled numerous Chicken products due to blue discolouration of the meat. The discolouration may indicate that the products are unfit for human consumption.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Chicken products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
