Canada/Ottawa: Loblaw Companies Limited recalls one batch/lot of PC Organics brand Apple, Blueberry & Green Pea Strained Baby Food due to suspected Clostridium botulinum contamination, a serious health hazard. CFIA: http://ht.ly/mTaQ308GWry
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Baby Foods are subject to this recall:
- PC Organics brand Apple, Blueberry & Green Pea Strained Baby Food sold in 128 mL stand-up pouches with a product code of 2017 OC 31 and a UPC of 0 60383 06292 7

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.
According to the CFIA, Loblaw Companies Limited has recalled one (1) specific lot code of PC Organics brand Apple, Blueberry & Green Pea Strained Baby Food from the marketplace because it may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum. Parents and other caregivers should not feed the recalled product to their children.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Baby Food, please do not consume this product directly, feed it to your child nor use it as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
