The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Dog Food is subject to this recall:
- Evangers brand Hunk of Beef Dog Food sold under lot numbers that start with 1816E03HB, 1816E04HB, 1816E06HB, 1816E07HB or 1816E13HB and with an expiration date of June 2020.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.
According to the FDA, this recall affects five (5) lots of Dog Food that were produced from its supplier’s lot of beef, which is specifically used for its Hunk of Beef animal food. To date, it has been reported that five (5) dogs became ill and one (1) of the five dogs died after consuming the product with lot number 1816E06HB13.
==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Pet Foods, please do not feed them to your pet(s). Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund. Wash down all prep surfaces, serving implements and serving bowls with a bleach/water mixture; rinse well with lots of hot soapy water.
