Additional information:
Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports this recall involves certain 100% cotton Hooded Bathrobes for children 0 to 9 months old.

The recalled Bathrobes are light pink with a small fish decal and were sold with a pair of matching booties. The item number for the product set is BR W03 and the UPC is 874989005406.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to Health Canada, its sampling and evaluation program had determined that these products do not meet the flammability requirements for children’s sleepwear under Canadian law.

Loose-fitting children’s sleepwear can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear, and once ignited will burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child’s body. For this reason, cotton is not permitted in loose-fitting sleepwear.

For more information on what makes safe sleepwear, visit the Healthy Canadians children’s sleepwear page at https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/safe-sleep/children-sleepwear.html
