The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Pimento Spread is subject to this recall:
- Ruth’s Original Pimento Spread, sold in 7-ounce plastic containers with a lot number 16 and a sell-by date of 4/30/2017
==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.
According to the FDA, Ruth’s Salads has recalled of Ruth’s Original Pimento Spread in 7-ounce plastic containers. The Salads have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria Monocytogenes.
==> For information about Listeriosis (Listeria poisoning), please consult the “Illnesses” tab on this site, located at the top of this page.
==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Pimento Spread, please do not consume it directly nor use it as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Pimento Spread to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
