US/Washington: Hans Kissle Company, LLC recalls an estimated 6,348 pounds of Ready-To-Eat Chicken Products due to suspected processing defect and consequential bacterial contamination, a serious health hazard. USDA: http://ht.ly/90lD308fjcF
The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Chicken are subject to this recall:
- 16-ounce (one-pound) lidded bowls containing Roche brand R Kitchen Sweet & Sour Chicken
- 16-ounce (one-pound) lidded bowls containing Roche brand R Kitchen General Tso’s Chicken.
==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the Chicken subject to recall bear establishment number “P-7573” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to a single grocery store chain (Roche) in the Boston, Mass. area.
The problem was discovered by US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) personnel during routine in-plant verification activities.
==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Chicken, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store or outlet where you purchased it for a full refund.
