The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Cashew Butter are subject to recall:

  • Pro Fusion Organic Cacao Nibs Cashew Butter, 250 gram package with a best-before date of 30/09/2018 and a batch code of L15259

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Windmill Organics Ltd. has recalled certain batch/lots of its Pro Fusion Organic Cacao Nibs Cashew Butter because the level of peanut found in this product is above that suggested on the label.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Cashew Butters and could be allergic to their Peanut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
