The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Bean Bag Chairs are subject to this recall:

  • Chillizone Bean Bag Ice Blue Cotton Cord Adult 200

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the recalled Bean Bag Chairs’ design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, this Bean Bag Chair is composed of ice blue cotton cord with a raised ribbed finish. The Bean Bag is only available in adult size (200L, 120cm high and 100cm wide) and is sold unfilled.

The product does not meet the Consumer Goods (Bean Bags) Safety Standard 2014 as per amendment on 1 July 2016.

The paper clip attached to the warning label may be used to open the slide fastener exposing Bean Bag filling. If this defect occurs, the exposed filling can cause suffocation if swallowed or inhaled. The warning label also contains the incorrect information and may result in misuse and/or injury.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Bean Bag Chairs, please do not use them. Instead, kindly detach the paperclip from the zipper pull to reduce the risk of the Bean Bag opening. Further, owners can contact the company to receive an update warning label to properly advice parents and other caregivers of the suffocation and/or inhalation risks concerning this Bean Bag Chair.
