The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Metal Saws are subject to this recall:

  • Swarts Tools brand 4″ Metal Cut Off Saws, sold with a model number of SW1735 and an Australia Electrical Approval Number of SAA-121306

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the recalled Metal Saw’s design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, the Saw’s power plug does not meet the Australian electrical standard for insulation. There is, therefore, a potential risk of electrical shock or fire to the Saw operator and to those nearby.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Metal Saws, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund. Owners can call 02 9620 9988 to arrange for the cost of returning the affected product to be charged to the supplier’s account.
