According to Health Canada, its sampling and evaluation program has determined that the Minnie Tambourine Toy does not meet Canadian safety requirements for toys. Specifically, the Tambourine can release small parts, posing a choking hazard to young children. In addition, when the small parts detach, sharp points can be exposed posing a laceration hazard.

The other Tambourine Toy models listed above are of a similar design and thus may also pose the same choking and laceration hazards and are therefore also being recalled by the company.

If plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Toy Tambourines, please do not use them nor let your children play with or near them. Instead, kindly return the Toys to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
