The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Drugs are subject to this recall:

  • Chinese Sports Injuries Pill Supplements, sold in 6 by 3 gram pill packages with a batch number of 12010460

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs, DINs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, testing of recalled Drug Supplements from the affected batch has detected the presence of very low levels of Aristolochic Acid. There is no established safe exposure level to Aristolochic acids. Rather, Aristolochic Acids have been linked to kidney problems and Urinary Tract Cancers.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm drug supplement contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food or supplement, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect product.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Drug Supplement, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store or outlet where you purchased it for a full refund.
