The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves two (2) Carbon Express Blade Crossbow models, sold in a black color/design scheme (model 20292) and a camouflage color/design scheme (model 20240).

  • Both recalled Crossbow models have the model name, “Blade” printed on the sides of the bow and each Bow has a half aluminum rail with a die cast riser. All of the recalled Crossbows have a black pistol grip with a black butt stock and weigh about 6.5 pounds. The Crossbows shoot at speeds up to 320 feet per second (“fps”) and have a 13-inch power stroke. The specific model number is printed on a metallic sticker on the bottom left limb of the Crossbow.

According to the CPSC, the recalled Crossbow can fire unexpectedly when the safety lock is engaged, posing an injury hazard to the user or bystander. The firm has received one (1) report of a Crossbow firing unexpectedly, resulting in a thumb laceration.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Crossbows, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to Carbon Express to receive a free repair.
