The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Salted Crisps are subject to recall:

  • by Sainsbury’s Ready Salted Crisps, 6 by 25 gram multi-bag packages with a best-before date of 04/03/2017

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Sainsbury’s has recalled certain batch/lots of its six-pack multi-bags of by Sainsbury’s Ready Salted Crisps, sold in 25 gram bags, because they contain Milk, an ingredient not declared in the ingredients list. This product, therefore, is a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to Milk or Milk Constituents or by-products.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Salted Crisps and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
