According to the CPSC, the filler cap at the top of the Espresso Makers can crack and allow steam to escape, posing a risk of scalds and burns to the user. In addition, the cap can pop off unexpectedly as a result of pressure buildup and this poses an impact injury risk to anyone nearby.

IMUSA has received 43 incidents including one (1) report of an owner who sustained burns to his hand from steam escaping through a crack in the cap.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Espresso Makers, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
