Additional information:
Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports this recall involves all sizes of the Basselino brand Baby Sleepers listed below. They contain specific animal patterns on them and are made from 100% cotton, as follows:

  • Pink sleeper with a bird on a turtle, on a rhinoceros, model number: BASCWC-04
  • Blue sleeper with an elephant, a turtle and a duck, model number: BASCWC-09
  • Beige and brown sleeper with a monkey on a giraffe, model number: BASCWB-14

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s design and retail presentation. Additional variations of the recalled Baby Sleepers are pictured on the Web site above.

According to Health Canada, its sampling and evaluation program has determined that these products do not meet the flammability requirements for children’s sleepwear under Canadian law.

Loose-fitting children’s sleepwear can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear, and once ignited will burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child’s body. For this reason, cotton is not permitted in loose-fitting sleepwear.

As of December 5th, 2016 Ok Kids has received no reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this sleepwear.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Baby Sleepers, please do not dress your child in them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
