EU issues 78 Product & Vehicle Recalls

FlagEUBelgium/Brussels: The European Union issues Report 51-2016 of its Rapid Alert System containing 78 new consumer, automotive and industrial-based product recalls; a must-read for parents, caregivers, drivers, health and safety workers, company owners, supervisors and others:

Among the 78 recalls the European Union has announced in this fourth report of December 2016, the following notification was made:

Watch Me brand Children’s Sweatshirts, sold with an unknown type/number model designation and an unknown batch/barcode number. The type of hazard presented include potential strangulation caused by cords in the hood of the recalled Sweatshirt may become trapped during various activities.

The product, therefore, does not comply with the requirements of the relevant European standard, EN 14682 and has been ordered recalled from end users and withdrawn from the marketplace.
