The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Quick Bread are subject to this recall:

  • Williams-Sonoma Meyer Lemon Poppy Seed Quick Bread, sold in 18-ounce (1-pound, 2-ounce) yellow paper bags with a best-by date code of JAN2018 02118:A1 or JAN2018 02018:A1 and a SKU 7839186 (located on price sticker).

==> No barcodes or UPCs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Williams-Sonoma has recalled certain batch/lots of Williams-Sonoma Meyer Lemon Poppy Quick Bread due to potential Salmonella contamination. The ingredient supplier has issued a recall of the bulk Milk powder.

Although no pathogenic bacteria have been found in the powdered Milk product supplied in Williams-Sonoma’s product, the company has decided to recall its Quick Bread produced from the specific lot received from the ingredient supplier.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Quick Bread, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Quick Bread to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
