US/Silver Spring: New Hope Mills Crepe Mix Recall [US]New Hope Mills recalls certain batch/lots of New Hope Mills Crepe Mix due to suspected Salmonella contamination, a serious health hazard. FDA:

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Crepe Mix is subject to this recall:

  • New Hope Mills Crepe Mixes, packaged in brown paper bags with a net weight of 20 ounces (1 pound, 4 ounces), a best-by date code of 07/19/17:A1 (located on the back flap) and a UPC 074703601529.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Crepe Mix can be found  on the Web site above.

According to the FDA, New Hope Mills has issued a recall for certain New Hope Mills Crepe Mix after being informed by the supplier that the bulk Milk powder used as an ingredient may be contaminated with Salmonella.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.
