US/Silver Spring: 7-Eleven Chicken with Hummus Sandwich Recall [US]LSG Sky Chefs Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. recalls all current batch/lots of 7-Eleven Fresh To Go branded Mediterranean Style Chicken with Hummus Sandwiches within its northern California and Nevada distribution chain due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination, a serious health hazard. The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Hummus Sandwiches are subject to this recall:

  • 7-Eleven Mediterranean Style Chicken with Hummus Sandwiches sold between November 18, 2016 and November 20, 2016 with a best-buy date of November 19, 2016 through November 21, 2016.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Sandwiches can be found on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the Hummus spread used in the recalled Sandwiches is subject to a national recall issued by Sabra Dipping Company due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. All Mediterranean Style Chicken with Hummus sandwiches have already been pulled from affected 7-Eleven stores.

In this regional recall, an estimated 241 sandwiches containing the Sabra Dipping Company hummus were produced and distributed from the LSG Sky Chefs facilities in San Jose, CA. The company also produced an estimated 72 sandwiches from its Las Vegas, NV location.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled 7-Eleven Hummus Sandwiches, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Sandwiches to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
