Additional information:
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Condiments are subject to recall:

  • Mrs Bridges brand Horseradish Sauce sold in 180 gram jars with a batch code of 6195 and a best-before end date of July 2018
  • Mackays brand Caramelised Red Onion Marmalade with Chilli sold in 225 gram jars with a batch code of 6199 and a best-before end date of July 2019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, the above identified Condiments contain undeclared sulphur dioxide making them a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or Sulphites.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Condiments and could be allergic to their sulphur dioxide ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.
