The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Cheese Products are subject to this recall in alphabetical order:

  • 4C All Natural 100% Imported Italian Pecorino Romano Cheese sold with a UPC of 41387-77126
  • 4C All Natural Parmesan Grated Cheese sold with a UPC of 41387-33126
  • 4C All Natural Parmesan/Romano Grated Cheese sold with a UPC of 41387-37126
  • 4C HomeStyle All Natural 100% Imported Italian Pecorino Romano Cheese sold with a UPC of 41387-12302
  • 4C HomeStyle All Natural Parmesan Grated Cheese sold with a UPC of 41387-32790
  • 4C HomeStyle All Natural Parmesan/Romano Grated Cheese sold with a UPC of 41387-11627
  • Cento Parmesan Grated Cheese sold with a UPC of 70796-90502
  • Cento Romano Grated Cheese sold with a UPC of 70796-90501

==> No item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification but the recalled Cheeses were packed in 6-ounce vacuum-sealed glass jars, with best-by dates between November 12, 2016 and November 12, 2018 and packaged in cases of either 6 or 12 jars per case:

According to the FDA, C Foods Corp. has recalled certain batch/lots of 4C Grated Cheese, Homestyle Grated Cheese and Cento Grated Cheese brands due to possible contamination with Salmonella.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Cheese, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Cheese to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
