The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Ice Cream Products are subject to this recall:

  • Vanilla, sold with best-by dates of 7/4/17, 9/8/17,10/9/17, 12/12/17, 1/14/18 and a UPC of 8 9934900201 7
  • Chocolate, sold with best-by dates of 7/4/17, 8/5/17, 9/8/17, 10/9/17, 12/12/17, 12/24/17 and a UPC of 8 9934900202 4
  • Cappuccino, sold with best-by dates of 7/4/17, 9/8/17, 12/2/17, 1/14/18 and a UPC of 8 9934900204 8
  • Chocolate Chip, sold with best-by dates of 8/5/17, 12/12/1 and a UPC of 8 9934900203 1
  • Lavender, sold with best-by dates of 12/2/17 and a UPC of 8 9934900206 2
  • Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Ice Cream Products are pictured on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Agave Dream has recalled the above listed Ice Cream Products, because they were made with a recalled ingredient supplied by Aspen Hills, Inc. This ingredient has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes and has been the cause of numerous recalls.

The recalled Agave Dream brand Ice Cream Products were distributed across the United States through retail stores receiving product from KeHE Romeoville & Dallas warehouses, DPI NW, Americold Los Angeles & Modesto warehouses, IWI Franklin Indiana warehouse, Jakes Finer Foods Houston Texas, Haddon House Richburg South Carolina & Medford New Jersey, Grocery Outlet-CA, UNFI- Auburn Washington & Ridgefield Washington.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Ice Cream Products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Ice Cream to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
