The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Chicken Products are subject to this recall:

According to the USDA, the ready-to-eat Chicken Products were produced on August 5, 2016
and bear establishment number “P-5615” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The recalled Chicken was shipped to retail locations in Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin.

The recall was initiated after the firm received notification of three (3) consumer complaints suggesting that blue plastic fragments had been found in their Chicken. It has been suggested that the Chicken might have become contaminated around the time a trim repair was made on production belt material.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

If plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Chicken, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If you have any questions about this recall notification, please contact Mr. Dave Wetherton, Assistant VP of Retail Sales at OSI Industries at 1-844-674-8100.
