The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Soft Drinks are subject to recall:

  • Rubicon Sparkling Mango Soft Drink, sold in two litre bottles with a best-before date end code of Feb 2017 and batch codes of 6149 and 6150
  • Rubicon Sparkling Mango Soft Drink, sold in two litre bottles with a best-before date end code of Mar 2017 and batch codes of 6176 and 6177

According to the FSA, A G Barr PLC has recalled four (4) batches of its Rubicon Sparkling Mango Soft Drinks because yeast fermentation has occurred in some bottles. This may cause the bottle to burst. The presence of yeast has resulted in spoilage of the products, making them unsuitable for human consumption.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food or beverage, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect Soft Drink.
