The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves six (6) different Halloween-themed LED Gel Clings that come with two (2) non-replaceable button cell batteries.

The Gel Clings are for window use only and light up with a blinking light when you push on them. The six different Gel Cling designs are a green skeleton, pink skeleton, purple spider, black cat, orange pumpkin and black bat. Model number 234-25-0904 is printed on the Gel Cling’s packaging, as follows:

  • LED Gel Cling: model number: 234-25-0904; color/description: Green Skeleton; approximate size: 3″(L) by 2″(W) by 0.5″(H)
  • LED Gel Cling: model number: 234-25-0904; color/description: Pink Skeleton; approximate size: 3″(L) by 2″(W) by 0.5″(H)
  • LED Gel Cling: model number: 234-25-0904; color/description: Purple Spider; approximate size: 2″(L) by 4″(W) by 0.5″(H)
  • LED Gel Cling: model number: 234-25-0904; color/description: Purple and Black Cat; approximate size: 2″(L) by 2.75″(W) by 0.5″(H)
  • LED Gel Cling: model number: 234-25-0904; color/description: Orange and Black Pumpkin; approximate sized: 2.75″(L) by 2.5″(W) by 0.5″(H)
  • LED Gel Cling: model number: 234-25-0904; color/description: Green and Black Bat; approximate size: size: 2″(L) by 4″(W) by 0.5″(H)

According to the CPSC, the Gel Clings can separate and expose the inner decal and LED/button battery compartment, posing both choking and button battery ingestion hazards to children.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Gel Clings, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Small “button” batteries pose special ingestion risks to small children. Devices using them in the home or school should be closely examined and monitored for any breakage or other unintended access that could allow these batteries to be swallowed or otherwise ingested.
