The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Vegetable Cutters are subject to this recall:

  • Spiral Vegetable Cutters, sold with a black plastic body with stainless steel grip and an APN of 9341103025240

According to the ACCC, due to a manufacturing issue, the blade of the recalled Vegetable Cutter may break during use. If this defect occurs, blade pieces may become mixed with food, posing an ingestion and/or laceration hazard.

If plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Vegetable Cutters, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
