The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Prepared Waffles are subject to this recall:

  • Kellogg’s Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles, 12.3-ounce box (10 carton), best-before: NOV21 17 and NOV22 17 and UPC: 38000 40370

According to the FDA, Kellogg has recalled approximately 10,000 cases of Kellogg’s Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Kellogg has reported the recalled Waffles were distributed to customers and retailers in 25 states, specifically: CO, CT, DE, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, VA, VT, WI and WY.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Waffles, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Waffles to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
