The UK Chartered Trading Standards Institute (“CTSI”) reports the following Cheeses are subject to this recall:

  • Dunsyre Blue Cheese, all package sizes; batch numbers: E24; best-before dates ranging from 18/09/2016 to 18/10/2016
  • Dunsyre Baby Cheese, all package sizes; batch numbers: E24; best-before dates ranging from 21/09/2016 to 11/10/2016

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Blue Cheese is pictured on the Web site above.

According to the CTSI, Errington Cheese has recalled the above-identified batch/lots of Dunsyre Blue Cheese because thy may contain Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (“STEC”).

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Cheeses, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
