The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Goat Cheeses are subject to this recall:

  • Chevre Feta cheese aged 60 days lot #836
  • Chevre Gouda Cheese aged 60 days Lot #426
  • Chevre Pasturized Lot #816, in 5 pound or 8-ounce containers
  • French Herb Chevre Lot #736 in 5 pound or 8-ounce containers

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled foods are pictured on the Web site above.

According to the FDA, the recalled Goat Cheeses may have been distributed in Washington DC, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia thru Lancaster co-op.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Goat Cheeses, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Goat Cheeses to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
