The UK Chartered Trading Standards Institute (“CTSI”) reports the following Lemonade is subject to this recall:

  • Freeway Red Lemonade, sold in two (2) litre bottles with a best-before date code of end of January 2017 and a batch code of L26183

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CTSI, Lidl Ireland has recalled one (1) batch of its Freeway Red Lemonade, following complaints of undesirable odours and flavours. Lidl has investigated the issue and concluded it is a quality issue and not a safety issue.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food or beverage, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food or drink.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Lemonade, please do not consume it directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
