The UK Chartered Trading Standards Institute (“CTSI”) reports the following Peanuts are subject to this recall:

  • Alesto brand Honey Peanuts, sold in pouch packages of 200 grams with a best-before date end of February 2017

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CTSI, the recalled Alesto Honey Peanuts contain peanuts, an allergen not declared on the label in English. This means the product is a health risk to anyone with an allergy to peanut ingredients.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Honey Peanuts and could be allergic to their Peanut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.
