The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Macadamia Nuts are subject to this recall:

  • 4-ounce pouches of Diamond of California Chopped Macadamia Nuts; UPC: 010300345848
    • Lot number: 16137D331S; best-before date: 16 NOV 2017
    • Lot number: 16138D331S; best-before date: 17 NOV 2017
    • Lot number: 16158D331S; best-before date: 18 NOV 2017
  • 2.25-ounce pouches of Diamond of California Macadamia Halves and Pieces; UPC: 070450743918
    • Lot number: 16137D331S; best-before date: 16 NOV 2017
    • Lot number: 16159D331S; best-before date: 07 DEC 2017

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated after testing by a FDA-contracted laboratory found Salmonella in a 4-ounce package of Diamond of California Chopped Macadamia Nuts.
