The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain batch/lots of Frigidaire and Kenmore-branded Electric Single and Double Wall Ovens made by Electrolux.

  • Frigidaire brand 24″ Electric Manual and Self Cleaning Wall Ovens
    • Model: FFEW2415QWA; serial numbers: AF61206467
    • Model: FFEW2425QSA; serial numbers: AF61205416
  • Kenmore brand 24″ Electric Manual and Self Cleaning Wall Ovens
    • Model: 790.40253410; serial number range: AF60908622 through AF61207264
    • Model: 790.40259410; serial number range: AF61106873 through AF61106888
    • Model: 790.40279410; serial number range: AF61107422 through AF61107457
    • Model: 790.40282410; serial number range: AF61301902 and AF61301928
    • Model: 790.40283410; serial number range: AF61106898 through AF61208367
    • Model: 790.40289410; serial number range: AF61200994 through AF61208403

The recalled Wall Ovens were sold in black, white or stainless steel color/styles. The single Wall Ovens measure approximately 24 inches wide, 32 inches tall and 25 inches deep. The Double Ovens measure approximately 24 inches wide, 51 inches tall and 25 inches deep.

The brands, “Kenmore” and “Frigidaire” is printed below the Oven window. The model and serial numbers are located on the left side trim on the inside of the oven. The following model and serial numbers are included in this recall:

According to the CPSC, the thermal switch on the recalled Ovens can malfunction due to improper manufacturing. This defect poses a fire hazard to consumers.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Wall Ovens, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact the manufacturer to arrange for a free repair.
