The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Salad Products are subject to this recall (in alphabetical order):

  • Markets of Meijer Salad Seashell Macaroni 2-17306-00000-3
  • Markets Of Meijer Sandwich Egg Salad 8-ounce container; UPC: 7-08820-54345-4
  • Markets Of Meijer Sandwich Tuna Salad Wedge Ck 7-ounce container; UPC: 7-08820-52935-9
  • Meijer Chicken Salad Spread 12-ounce container; UPC: 7-08820-62033-9
  • Meijer Egg Salad Spread 12-ounce container; UPC: 7-08820-62022-3
  • Meijer Macaroni Salad 1-pound container; UPC: 0-41250-16058-8
  • Meijer Macaroni Salad 3-pound container; UPC: 0-41250-16060-1
  • Meijer Potato Salad Amish 1-pound container; UPC: 0-41250-16074-8
  • Meijer Potato Salad Amish 3-pound container; UPC: 0-41250-16076-2

According to the FDA, Meijer has recalled certain batch/lots of Fresh Salads and Sandwiches due to a potential risk of Salmonella contamination. The Markets of Meijer Salads and Sandwiches were sold in Meijer stores from 7/20/16 to 7/25/16. There have been no known illnesses reported to Meijer from the product affected by this recall.

The Salads and Sandwiches contain a cooked egg ingredient sourced from Prime Foods, LLC, a Meijer supplier. Prime Foods LLC has notified Meijer of a positive test for Salmonella on their product.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Salads, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Salads to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
