Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Red Peppers are subject to this recall:

  • Canada Herb Fresh Red Chili Peppers, bulk sold in clear plastic bags each weighing approximately 454 grams (one pound). No UPCs, lot numbers, barcodes or other identifying numbers were released with this recall notification.

==> New information: the Fresh Red Chili Peppers subject to recall may have also been sold in bulk or in smaller packages with or without a label and may not bear the brand or product name described below. Consumers who are unsure if they have purchased the affected product are advised to contact their retailer.

According to the CFIA, Canada Herb has recalled certain batch/lots of Canada Herb brand Fresh Red Chili Peppers from the marketplace due to possible Salmonella contamination. You should not consume the recalled Chili Peppers listed above.

As with the earlier recall, only Fresh Red Chili Peppers imported by Canada Herb and sold from June 19, 2016 to July 05, 2016, inclusively are covered by this recall. The affected Peppers have been sold in clear plastic bags bearing the name “Canada Herb”. If you are unsure if you have purchased the affected product due to acquiring Fresh Peppers in smaller quantities without the factory-sealed bag, please contact your retailer.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Fresh Red Chili Peppers, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
