US/Silver Spring: Agave Dream Cappuccino Ice Cream Recall [US]Agave Dream recalls an estimated 389 cases of Cappuccino Ice Cream due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination, a serious health hazard. FDA:

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Ice Cream are subject to this recall:

  • Agave Dream brand Cappuccino Ice Cream pints packed in brown paper pint size containers with the brand, “Agave Dream” printed front of tub/carton with best-by date of 07/04/17 and a UPC of 899349002048.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FDA, the recalled Ice Cream was distributed throughout the United States through retail stores receiving product from the KeHE Romeoville, Illinois warehouse, DPI NW, Americold LA, IWI Franklin Indiana warehouse, Haddon House Richburg, SC.

The recall is the result of a routine sampling by the state of Washington that revealed that the finished products contained the bacteria.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Cappuccino Ice Cream, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Ice Cream to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.
