The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Chicken Entrées are subject to this recall:

  • Eight (8)-ounce (approximately 227 gram) individually wrapped Entrée packages labeled Lifestyle Foods Lemongrass Basil Chicken Entrée – Brown Rice in a Thai Style Sauce with Grilled Chicken and Green Beans. The recalled Chicken Entrées have “enjoy-by” dates of June 28, 2016 and June 29, 2016.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Chicken Entrées is pictured on the Web site above.

According to the USDA, the Chicken Entrées subject to recall bear establishment number “P-9815” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to distributors in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington DC.

The problem was discovered when Winter Gardens Quality Foods notified the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) that an ingredient of the Entrées had tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. At press time, there had been no confirmed reports of illness or adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Lemongrass Basil Chicken Entrées, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
