Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Dental Supplies are subject to this recall:

  • Chlorofluor Gel, an oral hygiene product containing 2 mg/mL Chlorhexidine, batch number BK 119

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, testing has detected high levels of Burkholderia cepacia (B. cepacia) bacteria. Although B. cepacia poses little medical risk to healthy people, people with weakened immune systems, such as intensive care patients, may be more susceptible to B. cepacia infections and at increased risk of associated health problems.

The effects of B. cepacia infection vary widely, ranging from no symptoms at all, to serious respiratory infections, especially in patients with chronic lung diseases, such as cystic fibrosis.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Chlorofluor Gel, please do not use it. Instead, kindly return the product to the distributor where you purchased it for a full refund.
