The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Smoked Fish are subject to this recall:

  • Fjord Laks brand Irish Smoked Salmon, 100 gram container; product code: all best-before dates up to and including July 16, 2016; sizing: variable
  • Fjord Laks brand Royal Smoked Empereur Gravlax Marinated Smoked Salmon 100 gram container; product code: all best-before dates up to and including July 16, 2016; sizing: variable
  • Fjord Laks brand Smoked Rainbow Trout, 125 gram container; product code: all best-before dates up to and including July 16, 2016; sizing: variable

According to the CFIA, A & E Distribution Inc. has recalled certain batch/lots of Fjord Laks brand Fish Products from the marketplace because they may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum if sold refrigerated. Consumers should not consume the recalled products listed above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Fish Products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
