Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Bean Bag Chairs are subject to this recall:

  • Ball Bag style Bean Bag Chairs, outdoor, water-resistant bean bag style chairs with separate insert for polystyrene “beans”, small, hard plastic spheres. The Chairs have no APN, barcode, UPC or other identifying marks.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Bean Bag Chairs is pictured on the Web site above.

According to the ACCC, in contravention of the mandatory safety standard for bean bag style furniture, the product is not correctly labeled. As well, the retaining zippers on the recalled Bags do not have a child-resistant slide fastener. Due to these defects, the Bags may allow access to the polystyrene beans, which, in turn, pose a potential choking hazard to young children.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Bean Bag Chairs, please do not use them or let your child play with or near them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased or to Zabu Furniture at 520 Stuart Highway, Winnellie NT 0821  for a full refund.
