The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Oriental Salads are subject to this recall:

  • Albertsons/Safeway brand Oriental Salad with Sesame Ginger Dressing, sold in ten (10)-ounce clear plastic clamshells with sell-by dates of 5/18, 5/ 19, 5/20, 5/21, 5/22, 5/23, 5/24 and 5/25 and a UPC of 78279602691
  • Bashas brand Oriental Salad with Sesame Ginger Dressing, sold in ten (10)-ounce clear plastic clamshells with sell-by dates of 5/18, 5/ 19, 5/20, 5/21, 5/22, 5/23 and 5/24 and a UPC 78279602691
  • Food 4 Less brand Oriental Salad with Sesame Ginger Dressing, 13-ounce clear plastic clamshells with sell-by dates of 5/18, 5/ 19, 5/20, 5/21, 5/22, 5/23, 5/24 and 5/25 and a UPC 7827960284

According to the FDA, Salads covered by this recall were distributed in the following states AZ, CA, ID, MT, ND, NM, OR and WY in Albertson’s, Safeway, Bashas’ and Food 4 Less Stores.

According to the FDA, Papa John’s Salad and Produce was notified by SunOpta, its Sunflower Seed supplier, that the company has recalled certain batch/lots of Sunflower Seeds that may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Salads, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Snacks to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
